Weatherford College's basketball teams began conference play Saturday in Terrell, and both teams came away with decisive victories at Southwestern Christian College.

The Lady Coyotes (13-2) beat the Lady Rams 91-54. Diamond Sweats came off the bench to score 18 points for Weatherford. Kay-Hauata Phillips scored 16 points for WC. Dranautika Thomas was SWCC's leading scorer with 16.

The Coyotes (12-4) left Terrell with a 96-78 win. D'Michael Bellfield led WC with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Marko Jovanovic added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Kavon Freeman led the Rams with 26 points.

Both WC teams continue Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference play at Temple College Saturday, Jan. 11.
