Weatherford College's Thane Lockhart placed second in calf roping and Hadley Miller placed third in bull riding at the Frank Phillips College Rodeo in Canadian, Texas, this past weekend.Lockhart scored a 21.7 after two rounds, only 0.2 points shy of a first place win. Clevenger totaled 66 points in his event.
Lane Cooper and Blake Bentley earned a fourth place finish in team roping with a score of 16.8 over two runs.
Corey Ryan place sixth in steer wrestling. Dalton Clevenger placed eighth in bareback riding. Parker Carbajal placed eighth in calf roping. Barrel racer Kinlie Brennise placed ninth and Kodey Hoss placed ninth in goat tying.
The Coyotes take a break from their fall schedule this weekend, but will be busy with the WC Alumni Rodeo and Ag Reunion at the Parker County Sheriff's Posse grounds.
The final rodeo of the fall season is Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 at Texas Tech.
