The Coyotes went 3-2 in the tournament, finishing third behind defending national champion Temple – which is making a return to the national tournament – and North Central Texas College.

In all, the Coyotes posted a 34-21 overall record, including 19-13 in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (fourth place). They still have not had a losing season since beginning play in 2012.

This season the Coyotes got off to a 9-0 start, earning a spot in the national rankings. That was also their longest win streak, while the longest losing streak was five.

The roster featured 10 sophomores and 10 freshmen. Among those, sophomore shortstop Eliza Eberhard was named first-team All-Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference for a second straight season after setting the career record for steals with 48, including 31 this season.

Two other sophomores, pitcher Casson Rasmussen and outfielder Amanda Vallejo were named to the second team, while freshmen Kristin Kamnick and Stephanie Jimenez were also on the second team at first base and in the infield, respectively.

"We battled all year and had ups and downs. We never quite had the consistency game-in and game-out that we would've liked, but we competed," Head Coach Haylee Williams said. "We are bringing some key pieces back next year and adding a very solid freshmen class."

Williams led the Coyotes to the NJCAA Championships in 2013.
