The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference has named Lady Coyote basketball guard Destiny McAfee as Player of the Week for Jan. 19-25.

The 5-foot-9-inch sophomore from Longview averaged 21 points and 4.3 rebounds in three games last week. She also had five assists and four steals. She scored 31 points against Hill College and shot better than 50 percent from the field for the week.

The Lady Coyotes are 17-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play. They play McLennan Community College tonight in the Graber Athletic Center starting at 5 p.m.
