Travis Washburn joined the WC coaching staff in the summer of 2023. He is the program’s infield coach and assists with hitting and the strength and conditioning program.

A graduate of College Park High School in The Woodlands, Texas, Washburn began his collegiate playing career at Navarro College. He was two-year starter for the Bulldogs playing infield and outfield. Transferring to University of Louisiana-Monroe, Washburn played three seasons for the Warhawks. Along with being in the lineup in the outfield or second base, he also earned Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference with a .327 ave. and .846 OPS.

Travis is engaged to Mara Grutkamp, who is finishing her degree and her collegiate soccer career at ULM.
