Jaylin Airington joined the Weatherford College coaching staff in 2023. At Cal State Bakersfield, Airington was a College Insider Defensive All-American and first team All-Western Athletic Conference as a senior in 2017. He set the CSUB Division I record with 500 points that season. He helped the Roadrunners earn the school’s first appearance in the National Invitational Tournament and become the first No. 8 seed in NIT history to reach the national semifinal. He graduated from CSUB with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
Airington played five seasons of professional basketball in Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belgium.
He has volunteered for years with the Ronald McDonald House, Toys for Toddlers, Teen Challenge and other non-profit projects.
The East Chicago, Indiana native is married and has a young daughter.
