Golf competes in Kansas

Weatherford College's Logan Moore finished in a tie for 12th place out of 83 golfers as the Coyotes competed in the NJCAA D1 National Preview Sept. 27-28. The tournament was played at Sand Creek Station Golf Course, a 7,022 track in Newton, Kansas. 

Moore, a sophomore from New Diana, Texas, shot 73-70-76 to finish three over par. Dominic Clemons of Hutchinson Community College (Kansas) won the event at eight under. 

Weatherford's Alexander Leuschner tied for 15th place, shooting 73-69-78. His second round 69 was the sixth lowest score of the day. 

WC finished in a tie for 11th place overall. New Mexico Junior College won the tournament.
