Katie Johnston joined the WC coaching staff in 2023.
Johnston came to Weatherford after four years at Blinn College, where she served as assistant coach for the men’s and women’s golf teams. She helped launch both programs in 2019.
Prior to Blinn, Johnson served as a graduate assistant for the Hardin-Simmons University golf teams for two years.
As a player, she competed for Cameron University, making four consecutive conference tournament appearances and the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll from 2015 to 2017. She had one tournament championship and three top-10 finishes, and she captained the team her senior year.
The Crowley, Texas native holds a Bachelor of Science degree in sports and exercise science from Cameron and a Master of Education degree in kinesiology, sport and recreation from Hardin-Simmons.
