The Weatherford College rodeo team competed in several events at the Ranger College rodeo held in Sweetwater last weekend, with Mason Stueve placing first in tiedown roping.
Stueve received a 9.8 for eighth and 7.6 for first making it a 17.4 on two to claim the win. Lane Webb placed fourth overall.
Steer roper Catcher Gasperson was awarded 15.7 for fifth and an 11.8 for first, making it a 27.5 on two to claim second.
Likewise on saddle bronc, Mitchie Story tied for second. He received a 76.5 for fifth, then a 78.5 for third, making it 155 on two.
For the team roping, the Coyotes' Conley Kleinhans, with Kyler Kanady from Cisco, received a 6.8 and a 5.1 to finish third with 11.9.
In goat tying, Jacee Graff received a 6.9 and then a 7.1, giving her a 14.0 on two to tie for third. Courtney Carbajal placed seventh.
Bridget Ketcham of Ranger alongside WC's Catcher Gasperson tied for fourth. Cayden Harmon and Peyton Cooper (Cisco) placed sixth. Jett Stewart / John Hisel (SPC) placed ninth. Zane Rampey/ Whit Sumner (Cisco) finished eleventh.
In breakaway roping, Coryn Kayser tied for seventh.
Kelsey Kennedy placed ninth in barrel racing.
The Rodeo team's next event will be a weekend event at Western Texas College on April 3-5 in Synder.
