Coyote Softball Facilities

Stuart Field
Stuart Field

Opened in 2012, Stuart Field is earning a reputation as one of the top community college softball facilities in the Southwest. The facility is named after local business leaders and philanthropists Richard and Nancy Stuart, the founders of Chicken Express.

Stuart Field is currently the only program in NJCAA Region 5 to feature artificial turf. The turf was installed in 2020 by the same company that outfitted the University of Tennessee, the University of Texas and Texas Tech University with turf athletic fields. Stuart Field has the following dimensions: 205 feet to left field, 225 feet to center field and 205 feet to right field. The home dugout is conveniently connected to a dedicated softball clubhouse, which includes a locker room and coaches offices. Covered batting cages are located just beyond the left field fence, adjacent to the clubhouse.

Players also have access to a weight room in the nearby Betty Jo Crumm Graber Athletic Center which features free weights, weight machines and cardio equipment. The Doss Student Center, the Library, Success Connection tutoring center and other campus facilities are just a short walk away.
