Coyote volleyball win streak at 15
Kiana Souza's 20 digs and strong performances from Abby Helman and Weronika Urbanska led the Coyotes to another decisive victory.
Weatherford College volleyball continued its tear through the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference on Wednesday night with a sweep of Cisco College. It was the final home match of the year at the Graber Athletic Center.
WC won 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.
Kiana Souza turned in a whopping 20 digs in the three-set match. Abby Morris added 12.
Abby Helman and Weronika Urbanska led the offense with 13 kills each.
Lorena Gomez logged 23 assists and Victoria Sanchez added 16.
The No. 6 Coyotes improved to 26-5 overall. Weatherford is 13-0 in conference play, having clinched the NTJCAC title on Oct. 23.
It was WC's 15th straight win and 16th sweep of the season. One regular season match remains at Hill College in Hillsboro on Saturday.
Weatherford will have a No. 1 seed in the Region V Tournament, to be held in Roswell, New Mexico, Nov. 7-9 at New Mexico Military Institute.
