Weatherford College hit seven home runs in a baseball doubleheader Wednesday, sweeping Vernon College 14-5 and 12-2 at Roger Williams Ballpark.
Cal Stark, Robbin Villenueve and Alex Vergara hit two home runs each over the two games.
WC improved to 28-13 overall and 9-9 in conference play.
The Coyotes broke open game one with eight runs in the bottom of the third inning. WC hit four home runs in the game.
Vergara was 2-for-3 with three RBI, a homer, a walk and two runs scored.
Game two started with a six run outburst by WC in the first inning. The game ended after the fifth inning due to the run rule.
Stark turned in three RBI with a homer and two walks.
Jake Stroud pitched all five innings, allowing just two hits, two walks and two earned runs and nine strikeouts.
The WC/Vernon series will continue Friday in Vernon. Weatherford returns home Wednesday, April 20th with a noon doubleheader against North Central Texas College.
