Both of the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Baseball Players of the Week for April 23-29 are Weatherford College Coyotes.  

Robert Fortenberry, a freshman from Frisco, earned the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week Award, and Joey Baran, a sophomore from Austin, was the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week.  

Fortenberry recorded a win for the Coyotes by tossing a complete game shutout. In his only outing of the week, the lefty scattered just three hits over five innings of work. He fanned six batters in the affair.  

Catcher Baran hit .429 for the week with two home runs, seven RBI and eight runs scored. His first homer on Thursday in Game 2 was a grand slam that gave WC a 4-0 lead. In addition to his big hits, he also drew seven walks in the week en route to posting an on-base percentage of .765.
