Coyotes move up to No. 4 in the nation

The Weatherford College baseball team moved up to No. 4 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I rankings released on Monday. The Coyotes were previously ranked No. 7. 

WC (29-7) ranks fifth in the nation in team ERA (2.87) and tenth in strikeouts (322). The Coyotes are hitting .305 as a team. 

Gaston College (North Carolina) remains the top-ranked team in the poll. Other Texas schools include No. 14 Tyler Junior College and No. 18 Navarro College. WC is the only Region V team in the poll. 

Weatherford is 11-1 in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference, good for first place. The Coyotes are 22-4 at Roger Williams Ballpark. 

WC hosts Cisco College on Saturday at Williams Ballpark. The doubleheader starts at noon.
