“Sticky” back in the lead in Casper

Weatherford College's Dawson "Sticky" Gleaves re-took first place in bull riding Wednesday in the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.

The Amarillo native turned in a 74 in the third go-round at the Casper Events Center. His 153 average put him at the top of the list and qualified him for the finals on Saturday.

Gleaves won the first round Sunday with a 79.5, earning himself a scholarship from NIRA Alumni, Inc.

WC team roper Jace Helton (heeler) and West Texas A&M's Quade Hiatt (header) have one more round to go in hopes of qualifying for the finals. The pair is in 28th place with 12.5 on two runs.
