The International Tennis Association has ranked the Weatherford College women's team No. 7 in its latest NJCAA national team poll released Thursday. The rankings are based on a coach's poll administered by the ITA.
WC's No. 1 player, Anastasiia Khrustaleva, is No. 7 in the ITA's latest national singles rankings. Coyote Michelle Markovic is ranked No. 25 and Mia Milojevic is No. 28.
Khrurstaleva and Markovic are the No. 6 ranked doubles team and Elena Baughman-Sanders and Marija Ristanovic are No. 23.
The Coyotes have enjoyed a successful spring so far, defeating squads the likes of Collin, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Meridian Community College (Mississippi) and East Texas Baptist University.
WC will compete in the NJCAA Women's National Championships on May 7-11 in Tucson, Arizona.
