The conference champion Weatherford College volleyball team wrapped up their inaugural regular season with a three games to one victory at Cisco College Thursday.
Weatherford won its final four matches of the regular season. The Coyotes (20-7 overall and 12-2 in conference) swept their opponents in 14 of their 27 matches.
WC took the first set Thursday, 25-11. Cisco won the second set 25-23, and Weatherford finished with 25-20 and 25-22 wins.
Brooke McHale recorded 18 kills and 11 digs in the match. Selanny Puente added 15 kills and Isabela Moore had nine kills and 13 digs.
Abby Folsom recorded a whopping 44 assists and 11 digs.
Meagan Ledbetter had 18 digs along with seven kills.
WC enters its first-ever Region V North Volleyball Tournament as the No. 1 seed. The Coyotes will get a first-round bye, playing Friday, Nov. 4, against the winner of a first-round match between the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds. The tournament will be held at North Central Texas College in Gainesville, and all matches will be live-streamed on www.TSRNSports.com.
