It took four sets to do it, but North Central Texas College defeated Weatherford College in volleyball Saturday in Gainesville. It snapped WC's 12-match win streak and gave Weatherford its first loss in conference play. 

WC (22-3 overall, 7-1 conference) remains in first place in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference standings. NCTC, in second place, is 16-11 overall and 6-2 in conference 

The Coyotes won the first set 25-18. NCTC won the second set 25-22. WC bounced back with a 25-18 win but NCTC finished the match with sets of 25-17 and 15-11. 

The Coyotes travel to Terrell to face Southwestern Christian College on Wednesday, Oct. 11. WC will return home to face Vernon College on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m.
