McLennan Community College, the No. 1 ranked softball team in the nation according to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I poll, defeated Weatherford College in two games Saturday in Waco, 11-1 and 10-2. 

In game one, MCC hit two home runs. WC's Jillian Franco had an RBI double in the top of the first, scoring Lilly Bean. 

In the second game, MCC had six runs in the second inning to break the game open. 

Weatherford's Presley Humphry hit a solo home run in the top of the third inning. Franco hit an RBI single in the fourth, scoring Isabella Alosi. 

WC (10-8 overall, 0-4 conference) will return home to face Northern Oklahoma-Enid on Saturday March 9 at Stuart Field. The doubleheader begins at 2 p.m.
